Update
Coffee prices fall in June 2026
The ICO Composite Indicator Price fell to 248.90 US cents/lb in June, down 2.8 percent on the previous month.
Market Note
The ICO Composite Indicator Price, the coffee industry’s main reference price, averaged 248.90 US cents per pound in June 2026, down 2.8 percent on the previous month.
The ICO’s own monthly report is headlined “Intra-month I-CIP rebounds on the back of Super El Niño concerns and rainfall slowing the Brazilian harvest.” Among the factors it cites as supportive: The Japan Meteorological Agency (10 June) and the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (11 June) released reports indicating strong confidence (67%) of a “Super El Niño” event – the highest confidence level on record. Weighing the other way: On 1 June the United States Department for Agriculture (USDA) forecast Brazil 2026/27 crop at a record level, 14% above the previous season, while Rabobank raised its 2026/27 global Arabica surplus estimate by 35.7%.
Colombian Milds averaged 324.60 US cents per pound, up 0.4 percent on the month. Other Milds averaged 307.83 US cents per pound, down 2.4 percent on the month. Brazilian Naturals averaged 272.01 US cents per pound, down 7.4 percent on the month. Robustas averaged 169.39 US cents per pound, up 1.7 percent on the month. Colombian Milds and Robustas firmed while Other Milds and Brazilian Naturals eased.
For a buyer, the movement across the four groups often matters more than the headline average, since it shapes the spread between origins and the cost of a blended lot. The live snapshot on the desk tracks the monthly indicator as the ICO publishes it. For the full picture, see the coffee price data page.
The ICO publishes its indicator monthly, with each month’s figure released partway through the following month, so June is the latest reading available at the time of writing.
