EUDR Readiness Checklist for Green Coffee

A practical, stage by stage checklist for getting an Indonesian green coffee shipment EUDR ready, deferring to the EUDR page for the rules themselves.

This is a practical checklist for getting an Indonesian green coffee shipment ready for the EU Deforestation Regulation, the EUDR. It is a working list, not a statement of the law. For the rules, the scope, the country risk position, and the current application dates, the EUDR page is the source of truth. Read it first, then use this to get organised.

Work through the stages in order. Each item notes whose job it is, since EUDR responsibilities split between the EU operator or importer who files the statement and the origin side that supplies the inputs.

Stage 1: Confirm it applies

Stage 2: Geolocation data

Stage 3: Legality evidence

Stage 4: The Due Diligence Statement

Stage 5: Traceability through the chain

Stage 6: Document alignment

Who does what

In short, the EU operator or importer is responsible for the Due Diligence Statement, for filing it, and for its own compliance. The origin side supplies the inputs that make the statement possible: the geolocation, the deforestation-free evidence, the legality records, and the chain of custody. A clean shipment is one where the origin side has assembled accurate inputs and the importer has filed a statement those inputs support.

How IndoCasa supports EUDR readiness

We build EUDR readiness from origin. We assemble the plot level geolocation and the legality inputs, run the deforestation check, and put together the supporting document set, so an EU buyer has what it needs to complete its Due Diligence Statement and clear customs. We do this without exposing the sourcing network behind the coffee. The EUDR page explains how that works in full.

This page is practical guidance, not legal advice. You remain responsible for your own compliance with the EUDR, and you should confirm the current requirements against the official sources and your own advisers. To discuss a shipment, Contact Us.
